Palm's problem isn't innovation with the handsets as much as its the lack of innovation with the old OS. While I absolutely HATE navigating windows mobile you have to admit it looks a lot better and is much more feature rich than palm os which has had one major improvement, color screens
What continues to baffle me is the poor to non-existent background execution
I understand this is probably a Nich market... but whenver I travel to other people's houses for extended perods of time those are the two things I usually miss the most... Granted it's because I am the laziest person ever when it comes to math but "lugging" that little box is a lot less painful than taking half an hour just to share ONE 1g card because they only have an old usb 1.1 card reader (or because you have to use the camera interface, which requires downloading the driver over their [most likely] dial-up connection).
P.S. about that whole format jazz... it isn't anything special they are all just variants of the basic 8, MMC, SD, SMC, CF, MS, MSpro, XD, MD. (and the only reason MS and MSpro are seperate is because sony was slow enough for enough MS devices to be released that wouldn't work with the pro)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
