Maybe this was all part of Dells big scheme. Wait until Intel catches up with AMD again, then announce that you will use AMD processors. When sales of these processors fall flat go back to an exclusive Intel-only deal and promise never to use AMD chips again.
The press release is a bit sketchy on the detail but I would love if this were true. One small concern is that they say most games are 3d capable already. I did not realise this was the case. A true 3d ready game would output two images taken from slightly different viewing angles. Not the same image offset by a few centimetres.
