Duh, remote desktop terminal ftw?
Come fly with me, come fly, let's fly away.....

And here I thought this was only a 5 part contest. Paying attention FTW.

Happy birthday N-to-the-gadget.
I'd really like to win this, but happy birthday to Engadget even if I don't.
How strange, and most of my Vista crashes (what few there were due to graphics issues) were caused by my ATI Radeon x1650xt. That's why I switched to Nvidia in fact.

My 8800gt Alpha Dog has only crashed once, and that was because it overheated trying to give birth to the ice level in Crysis.

Stupid Crysis.
Can you tell I want to win? Must be the first thing I've EVER signed up four times for.

Happy Birfday again :)
Part 3 for the win!!! Happy b-day again Engadget :)
Happy big B-DAY Engadget!!!!
Here's to all the productive time I've lost at work thanks to ya'll :)
That score is likely just the cpu side of the score (3dmark06 total scores are video card+cpu scores) My budget c2d e6750 OC@2.87 and a XFX 8800gt don't do better than mid-11k total score, and the cpu is only pulling a 2500 score on its own, so a 6k score for just the cpu is decent.
Actually, this is a move that makes sense considering AMD's move to acquire ATI.

ATI once did the same thing (and may still for all I know) with their "high end" video cards. If the high end card failed to pass QA, but with some features disabled passed QA as a lower end card, they would re-badge that card and sell it off (I think this happened a lot in the 9600 series).

I don't know if ATI still does this anymore since I switched to Nvidia (8800gt Alpha Dog FTW!!!), but this recycling strategy might actually help ATI out of its current rut.
Hmmm...working today, and DBA class tonight. My highlight of today will be the sleep I get when I finally get home at 10pm.

Happy "celebrate your local diamond cartel" day, me.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
