...also, don't ask me why I put portable in quotes. Maybe I was originally going to say something about them calling it a laptop. I don't know.
GET A DESKTOP. It's by no means "portable". The screen res is horrible for such a high-end expensive computer.

For goodness sakes I could duct-tape a 17" MacBook Pro and a 20" Cinema Display together and it'd be thinner than this thing. (Anyone getting fired up that I mentioned Apple can just cool their jets. It's only because they have thin laptops and displays)
Innovative*

(I linked to businessweek but it didn't work. IBM was #9 and Nokia was #13 on the "Most Innovative Companies" list.)
Wow. So innovtive. IBM too.
Good article. Looking forward to part 2.
Where's the clip?
Explain to me again how Macs are "too expensive".

Sorry if this starts some big dumb debate.
Some bozo is actually going to buy this thing and never use it. Unless the cops bust into a suspects house WHILE he's using his computer and the guy doesn't close it up in time to put it to sleep they get nothing.

-or-

Apple can issue a software update to disbale the thing in the next 2 days.
Zach,

I'd try again if I were you. You said 217? Is that cycles or mAh? Double-check, what's your cycles and full capacity (mAh) at?

My cycles are at 144, and I've got 4894 mAh. The guy didn't eve ask anymore questions besides my address to ship a new one to.
I called to ask a question about my battery and they guy just sent me a new one. I don't even think it needs to be replaced.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
