This is the new hawtness. I've been looking for a reason to replace my 4th gen iPod with the new Nano.
30" Philips CRT HDTV hooked to a Charter Moxi DVR.
I have a Moxi from Charter as well, and I must say that it is not that great. From my experience it is both loud and slow. With good air flow around the unit it runs much better, but it still is sluggish when watching or recording HD content. Want to record two HD streams? Don't bother trying to check the "ticker" or the program guide... Moxi grinds to a near stand still when recording two HD streams. The main complaint I have is that in a quiet room you can hear the HDD and the fans, which are much louder than my PC. Another drawback is that my unit only holds ~40 hours of SD and ~20 hours of HD. Hopefully Charter begins offering a better DVR solution soon.

After an hour on hold last night I had my issue with the web based interface resolved... My battery was within the range of recalled batteries, yet it showed up as an invalid serial number or outside the range of affected batteries. Called AppleCare, which was swamped with calls, and the rep entered in a "secret" code to allow me to get my battery replaced. Can't wait to have a nice new battery for my iBook!
Great... Except for the fact that I can't call Apple nor can I log on the their website to get a new battery. Bastards.
I hope Liberty Medical gets these so Wilford Brimley can show them off in a new commercial.
What? They knew about the explosive potential of these batteries? All it takes is a little math to figure out why they didn't initiate a recall to begin with. I mean, haven't you seen Fight Club?

Take the number of vehicles in the field,(A), and multiply it by the probable rate of failure,(B), then multiply the result by the average out-of-court settlement,(C). A times B times C equals X... If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
