Totally agree.

It seems heavy users of Automator look to automate things that are pretty much 95% automated. OK sure, I can't fire off an email automatically after the import, but who cares? It takes two seconds to multi select a bunch of pictures and click the email icon.

I really wish I could find uses for Automator, but perhaps I'm just not the target audience. I think it's really intended for Pro-Users because I can't find one thing I would like "automated".

That would be nice but I don't see that happening. You might then compress the Street name display at the top which is an important part of its functionality.

I think this is just a reaction from Garmin because TomTom's devices are all now widescreen. It's really not going to add any real value other than the "cool" factor.

In fact, I would imagine the battery life to decrease because of the larger screen.

If the original $999 price buy.com had posted is correct then that's a pretty steep price to pay for something that really doesn't add much more functionality than a 360. (well it does add FM transmitter, but I've never been thrilled with those devices)
Chad:

Those were my thoughts exactly. The widescreen is very nice to see adjacent roads (perhaps for detour purporses) but in the normal use, the widescreen has no added benefit over the current 4:3 aspect Nuvi.
Nelson:

The sheer fact that Siemens has a Windows OS is enough to scare me away.
The available 700 MB is similar to the 350 and 360.

The 2 GB drive minus the pre-installed maps etc. leaves you with about 700 MB.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
