It's a misleading statistic....yes, so lets perpetuate by not correcting the title of the article.
You say "now that we have enough invested that it's too late to back out"...well we know this simply isn't true .... high investment, high cost to change- yes, change overnight - no. There are countless examples of products/services with a high hurdle to change...but we do and will.
What's more interesting is how DS has convinced themselves that bringing us the "worst of" is of some type of value to its readers.
What I find interesting is that someone would take their time write about such a site...and, at least to some extent encourage others to waste their time. Think how much more beneficial his writing talent would be if it were spent on an equally advanced/progressive/new/enlightening website.
What continues to boggle my mind is why Steve or MSFT gets any news coverage at all. The company is a perpetual under performer. The only story is their ability to plow billions into R&D, follow others lead then, under deliver. Not a good business model.
Engadget pointlessly tells us PRETEC pointlessly announces world's first SDXC card without a ship date. E could easily drop these "pointless" posts....yes, free to read, but its only my time I value.
Very cool. However, there needs to be some upper management changes for MSFT to be part of 2019. MSFT is now a follower, not a leader...stuck in 1999.
How to kill the buzz? Release it to the public....the real users. The over-hyped software will underwhelm, just as in the past (the trend is your friend). Nothing has changed.
a measly .03 percent - relevancy of this to energy production, to me and amount of space that should have been allocated to this article.
"he estimates" pretty much says it all....

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
