Me too. I have an iPhone 3gs, but this Blackberry should help Verizon attract a lot of smartphone customers if it's as snappy is it looks in the commercial.
My prediction: The iPhone 4G will be released for both AT&T and Verizon on their LTE networks. People will continue to try and unlock the iPhone 4G for T-Mobile because their plans are cheaper :)

That's the site I found which explains how to create the .ISO file. Once that's done, create your bootable disc.

I required installation onto an empty hard drive because I was switching from Vista Ultimate 32-bit to 7 Professional 64-bit.

After running into the activation snafu, I wound up on the phone with Microsoft for about an hour until I found a tech who knew what to do. He walked me through a registry edit and some command line code (wish I had taken some screen shots, sorry!), after which the activation (using an upgrade activation code) worked for my clean installation.

Hope a better fix comes out soon, good luck to everyone trying to do a clean install with an upgrade copy of Windows 7.
Sweet! Gotta love living in Houston. 3G coverage is actually pretty good here, looking forward to the 7.2 mbps bump!
@ Adam Zey: What's with the mystery, what country do you live in?
TomTom access? Isn't this thing a bit large to be used as a GPS?
Neither version has WiFi. It appears it was Blackberry's decision to not include a WiFi chip. I'm sure a teardown on launch day by iSuppli will confirm either the existance or lack of a wifi chip.
You're not crazy, it does look very similar to current BB models. It's what's under the hood that makes a big difference. Check out the specs on the RAM and other features of the Tour that should make it run faster than any current Blackberry.
Almost certainly. I don't know a lot of details, but I've read things on here and other blogs where you can flash the firmware to enable GPS for google maps...ymmv.

Verizon wants to rope you into their monthlt subscription for using their GPS app, go figure.

Another common complaint about the Tour is the lack of WiFi, to get such a feature, you'd have to choose another model.
It would be very easy to lose. I think the idea is to keep it plugged in all the time. Also, a friend had the 2 GB version of this, and it came with a fairly sizeable cap that made it easier to keep track of.

Would be perfect for a netbook with a small SSD, just pop one of these in to a free USB slot and leave it there.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
