First Storm 2 ad huffs and puffs for attention (video) {Engadget}
Oct 29th 2009 12:49AM Me too. I have an iPhone 3gs, but this Blackberry should help Verizon attract a lot of smartphone customers if it's as snappy is it looks in the commercial.

Oct 26th 2009 11:20PM My prediction: The iPhone 4G will be released for both AT&T and Verizon on their LTE networks. People will continue to try and unlock the iPhone 4G for T-Mobile because their plans are cheaper :)
Windows 7 student upgrade installer not working for many {Engadget}
Oct 24th 2009 8:34AM http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/30470-make-bootable-iso-student-d-l-42.html
That's the site I found which explains how to create the .ISO file. Once that's done, create your bootable disc.
I required installation onto an empty hard drive because I was switching from Vista Ultimate 32-bit to 7 Professional 64-bit.
After running into the activation snafu, I wound up on the phone with Microsoft for about an hour until I found a tech who knew what to do. He walked me through a registry edit and some command line code (wish I had taken some screen shots, sorry!), after which the activation (using an upgrade activation code) worked for my clean installation.
Hope a better fix comes out soon, good luck to everyone trying to do a clean install with an upgrade copy of Windows 7.

Verizon BlackBerry Tour unboxing {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2009 6:35PM Neither version has WiFi. It appears it was Blackberry's decision to not include a WiFi chip. I'm sure a teardown on launch day by iSuppli will confirm either the existance or lack of a wifi chip.
Verizon BlackBerry Tour unboxing {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2009 6:33PM You're not crazy, it does look very similar to current BB models. It's what's under the hood that makes a big difference. Check out the specs on the RAM and other features of the Tour that should make it run faster than any current Blackberry.
BlackBerry Tour hitting Verizon on July 12 for $199.99? {Engadget}
Jun 27th 2009 1:38AM Almost certainly. I don't know a lot of details, but I've read things on here and other blogs where you can flash the firmware to enable GPS for google maps...ymmv.
Verizon wants to rope you into their monthlt subscription for using their GPS app, go figure.
Another common complaint about the Tour is the lack of WiFi, to get such a feature, you'd have to choose another model.
Buffalo's 16GB 5mm USB Thumbkey: It's really small {Engadget}
Jun 24th 2009 7:05PM It would be very easy to lose. I think the idea is to keep it plugged in all the time. Also, a friend had the 2 GB version of this, and it came with a fairly sizeable cap that made it easier to keep track of.
Would be perfect for a netbook with a small SSD, just pop one of these in to a free USB slot and leave it there.
