May 15th 2008 1:58AM I want my 15 seconds back! It took me that long to hit the pause button. I am seriously disappointed in Paul Miller. By all means cover this new toy, and I don't even mind you posting the naff video of a kid spinning around on one, but the fun stops there, okay? Song lyrics and a couple of snaps turned into a video? Come on.

May 5th 2008 2:17AM sustainable? Think beyond the energy to run this thing, to the energy needed to manufacture, install and eventually dispose of it. Think of the background computing needed to operate it, and the creation of more visual pollution.

May 4th 2008 3:40PM bio fuels are not limitless. Quite the opposite. They compete with things like ...er, food, for growing space. They are no replacement for solar and other renewables. Nor are they 'green'. This is junk science.

Apr 30th 2008 4:18PM my aging father is probably kept alive - in part - by his interest in computers and being kept on his wits by spam, Windows' eccentricities and other digital shenanigans. Dumbing down the interface for the elderly is both condescending and unnecessary.

Apr 30th 2008 4:11PM I'd like to see how it sits with current gen Bravias. I cannot see it fitting with my Bravia LCD, which sits straight up and not at an angle.

Apr 30th 2008 4:05PM Value is relative.
7 years ago I paid $2500 for a laptop running a 600Mhz chip with 6GB of storage and 128MB of RAM.
This year I paid half that price to replace it with 2.4Ghz core 2 duo, 320GB of storage and 2GB of RAM.
I waited a bit long (!) but it was fair value - for now. In 5 years it will look sick.
I should mention that neither of these machines are bright orange with chrome accents.

Apr 29th 2008 3:43PM my hip vibrates no matter whether my bb is attached, and my body generally has a hunched, email composing/reading posture, but I like movies and TV shows, especially when I travel (and would love to get CNBC, Bloomberg TV, BBC, CNN on the go). The bb sucks at multimedia. Any improvement is welcome, even if only auto playlists. Next please, proper video codec support and a player that enables full-screen playback (on the miserable little screen).

Apr 29th 2008 2:27AM this completely squanders helium, which is running out, uses petroleum based plastics and serves no useful purpose. Sustainable, not. There is no sensible reason to replicate them.
