Funny thing is, I saw a Peek in the box at Target on the clearance isle yesterday. Price? $24.99
I've had my Linksys for ages, but my parents acquired a Juniper NS5GT which is just amazing. The thing has virtual lans, dual wifi antennas for segregation, and its practically the same as the rack mountable equivalent. The last company I worked at (small company = cheap) used one of them for their 4 racks of servers. It is VERY robust. Just don't pipe more than 10mb/s through it. When it hits 100mb/s it dies.
What is the Large Hadron Collider?
All I have to say is...

"Fees shortie, fees."
What about the gadgets? Is this discussion about gadgets?

What the heck has happened to all of the blogs and news sites that I read?

First digg gets a political section, now Engadget is full of flaming liberals/conservatives as well. What is going on?

You can post how much you hate Bush all you want [or like him for that matter], just do it somewhere where you can have a real debate, not on a gadget blog.
Funny thing is, Apple's machines have come down considerably in price since OS X. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but a 12" laptop with a 6 hour battery weighing in at less than $1k for students is just... amazing, and rather unheard of. I know someone is going to yell Averatec, but from experience I can say they break easily, the battery is done at 1hr, and the graphics chip is horrible. I've had my 12" iBook for a little over a year, and I have to say that I wouldn't trade it in for any PC laptop made in that year, period.

This is the first revision of the new MacBook's, so everyone just chill. Every time there's a new design and run there are problems. Dell had some serious issues with the 5100's that caused most of my friends much anguish. Everything from overheating to pressure on the keyboard causing them to shutdown.

I've been through a class action suit with Toshiba, and I can say that if there is a real issue that affects more than a few customers (much like the Xbox 360 'defects', these seem isolated) there will be a suit and everyone will end up happy (even if it takes a few years).
Wow, that's a major improvement. I'm shocked! 3+ hours? That's as good as the MacBook Pro!
Oh my, QWERTY = purty.
I got a Hummingbird R/C Heli, a book on Google-hacking, the usual clothing, and a 'Got Root?' shirt from ThinkGeek.

Gotta love Christmas!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
