Hi John,

thanks for your interesting reply,

the thing is that I have no doubt W7 works well (indeed anything after vista should do), but for me this "pretty close" would be 3 or 6 months from now, not a declaration of intentions that it will be released during 2009, which I will believe when I see (have you checked the timetable of any former MS OS and the real release date ????, do we forget so quick ????)

And, no matter how good it is, what we are offered lacks many features and technologies OSX already run on Leopard or Tiger, so the thing is that it is not fair to compare both systems just because they are going to be released in the same period, let's say:

real seamless 32-64 bit, Grand central (OpenCL), independent resolution GUI to say some...

and, I'm still waiting to get something similar to colrsync, at least for 16 years now, probably more...

but anyway, at the risk to seem to flawfull to Kali4, thanks for your contribution.

but Vista was what it was, and Microsoft has clearly moved on...

I'm sorry, but Vista still is what it is, W7 is not on the shelves, let's be realistic, you can actually buy only a flawfull OS from Microsoft !!!!

W7 is a hope in the horizon (as longhorn used to be), let's see what are they finally delivering and when,

I think is not fair from many sites and bloggers to compare W7 and Snow leopard, W7 should be compared to panther, maybe tiger, comparing it to Snow Leopard is like comparing an arrogant agressive rude gasoline hungry HUMMER from the 90s to a cute eficient fast Tesla Motors sports car of the late 2000s
Does these units fit as a replacement for a 20Gb fourth generation iPod ?

Actually I can buy an adapter from iPod hard disk connector to Compact Flash, but this looks like the whole solution already packed...
There's some mistake in the article statmenets.

The plant will sell ALL ENERGY to the grid, as by spanish law and to promote the grow of solar cell ceilings the electric company has to pay each watt generetad by "green means" 10 times the price it costs to buy that one generated by dirty ones.

In spain electric energy is strongly subsidized by the government...
didn't know Paris and London share the same time zone !!!

maybe it's a plus in Steve Jobs RDF to unify certain time zones...
When is all this "phenomenon bits & bytes" going to happen ?

2050 ?

I think at the time MS can launch "another Vista meant to be" revolutinary system our concept of computer will be so diferent from nowadays that there's nothing to talk about.

I beleive in what I can touch, use and see, OS X.

I still can't buy Vista's Panther wannabe OS in any regular shop.

Holy sh**t !!!
Apple must show unbeatable.

If those stupid ingorant governors don't understand the idea behind Apple Fair Play DMR, Apple should retire iTunes stores, they will sell the same amount of iPods after all and let microsoft face the costs of lawyers and flatten the terrain to come back to europe. It's ridiculous.

A frustrated european tired of the RIAA like entities in europe.
I'm the rolling thunder; I've got an exploding Dell.
My ThinkPad was lost in last hurricane.
White planes are burning across the sky!
You're only young but you're gonna die!

I won't take no batteries - won't play iLife!
Nobody's computting up in this flight!
I got my fill; I'm gonna take you to hell;
I'm gonna get you - SONY get you...

CHORUS:
Hell's Dells!
Yeah, Hell's Dells!
You got me ringing Hell's Dells!
My temperature's high! Hell's Dells!

I'll give you burning sensations up and down your spine.
If you're into Mac, you're a friend of mine.
See my burnt Dell flashing as I split the night,
'Cause if good's on the left, then I'm stickin' to the right!

I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives;
If you bought a Dell you did a crime.
I got my iBook; I'm gonna take you to hell;
I'm gonna get you - SONY get you...

CHORUS

Yeow!
Hell's Dells, SONYs comin' to you!
Hell's Dells, he's ringing them now!
Hell's Dells, the temperature's high!
Hell's Dells, iBooks burn the sky...
Hell's Dells, they're takin' you down.
Hell's Dells, they're draggin' you around.
Hell's Dells, gonna split the night!
Hell's Dells, there's no way to fly! Yeah!

Ow, ow, ow, ow!

Hell's Dells!
to macboi retard,

read again as you're at least as retarded as I am.

Winamp it's a great soft, no doubt about it, but AFAIK it isn''t bundled with the OS, neither is a MS software that's what about we're talkin.

And for those who claim about the price... do the numbers again, please !!!

Aopen isn't cheaper for the same specs, even if we add a miglia TVMax to add the TVtuning feature to the Mini.

Then, buy this funny software called ANTIVIRUS, a decent movie editor, I said decent, I'll let you install iTunes and Google's picassa, so you'll get something for free and pray for keepin' all right and for your ANTIVIRUS to keep tight your credit card numbers.

Ready to do the numbers ???

I'm use of both mac and PC, and I dare to say I'm an advanced user, so experience and time has led me to get closer to the mac side, I like to spend money on my hardare, but not give my time to Bill Gates, nor you, so this is my last comment on this subject.
U understand nothing people !!!!

If the computer has to stay in my living room, dear Anthony, I think a cool look is a must. A living room internet surfing solution that doesn't show antivirus emerging windows again and again its nice too, I'm not sure microsoft will never give me this, at last, not today, not tomorrow.

Some say it's all about the OS, well, OS X runs on Mac, not PCs, so, then I prefer a mac.
Those who deny OS X superiority are just ignorants, they should try it, maybe then they'll see this PC-Mac war not as a war or a superiority game but a will that everybody could use a better platform than Windows. At least, microsoft is insisting that they have a great product with state of the art technology, they do the same as Apple (or should we say Apple users '), but indeed, is Apple who has this great OS and great integrated tools, not Windows.

Where is wPhoto ? Where is wTunes ?, Where is wMovie ?

Sure there is a lot of good (or great) Windows solutions for everyone of this needs, but not by MS, not created as a whole computer experience concept, not cheap at all, and

why I want to choose between 30 editing video solutions if I can choose between the 5 better ones in the market, I use my time for editing video (or photos or DVD), but not for choosing betweena bunch of similar programs that are not really sharing a feel and look betwwen them and the OS.

So, you can think it's all about childish competition and stay there, waiting for your weekly security update (even if that update should have arrived 9 months ago), or you can try a mac, if you like computers, stay with PCs, if you like a computer experience, do the step.

And, if I am wrong, why Microsoft is copying 2003 version of OS X in their "new" coming Vista ?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
