You read the review, right? You read that he was disappointed. He made suggestions based on different levels of expectations; i.e. if you're looking for what he described (a really tough game that is unforgiving, plus more of everything) you'll probably enjoy the game. If you're looking for L4D1 with more weapons, you'll be disappointed like he was.

How would a number at the end make it any more clear for you? In fact, a number might give you a false impression of the game. If he gave the game a 5 out of 10, you might not buy it. But L4D2 could be the perfect game for you and you'd be missing out.

Number scores are for Metacritic and get you more "clicks." I hate numbers, both 'cuz I suck at the maths and because I don't like what they do to reviews in general.
@Prox

You may not realize it, but you DO NOT play COD4/MW2 for the "realism." Is Modern Warfare more real than, say, Doom III? Yes. Is it "real?" Hell no.

You want to play a game that's even more "real" than COD4/MW2? Go play the original "Operation Flashpoint" or the old "Firearms" mod or even "Red Orchestra 1/2." Those gamers were "real," and suffered for it, because playing a "real" game is no fucking fun.
Bad news: you BOTH lose, for arguing on the Internet.
@Dr. Scientist:
If you like your phat and like to play GBA games, then buying a DSi for the software is, arguably, a bad idea.

Unless, of course, you think you'd enjoy using your DSi to download clocks and calculators. Oh, and card games you used to play on your Ti-83.
@TimTebow:

The Engadget OP and the Apple store make it clear this is for iPhone 3G and 3GS only and will NOT work with iPods.
"How would you change Sony's PSP Go?"

I would make it an Xbox 360.
Shit's still brizzoke @8:15pm. Never underestimate the drawing power of a free/really cheap game.
No survey is perfect, but having created a fair amount of research surveys as an undergrad and grad student, there are some things I would have done differently.

For example, in question #29 "On average, how important are each of the following to you?" there is an option for "Homosexual Content," but no "Heterosexual Content" option. It's hard to interpret someone's answer to the "homosexual" option without a "heterosexual" option to compare it to. If homosexual content is "not important at all" to someone, it could be because that person hates homosexuals or it could be because they see sexual content in general as unimportant.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
