Get it from this side of the channel/north sea.
We already have it. At least we do here in sweden. Goes for about €730, which is not expensive in sweden - the cheapest Ul30a goes for €630-€730 (though some resellers gouge customers and charge up to €873).
That was bloody hillarious in swedish. Her wording was a bit odd and pretty anglified at times, though..
I'd pay $4000 for a flying unicorn.
We call those people Fascists.
Lauded? Really? Since when is "CCTV State" something good?
They shouldn't even offer the shiny white/fusion versions under the Thinkpad name. That's sort of like putting OS X on any HP, and then calling it a macbook pro. It misses the point completely
Ew-tastic desing. I men really, white shell? That' awful, even if it wasn't black inside. Then add that it's a black Thinkpad-ish interior, which clashes even more with the shiny whiteness, and it's an awful, awful combo. Like a goldplated car. Or goldplated laptop.

Either make it white and call it an ideapad, or make it all black and call it a thinkpad. This fusion thing just makes my eyes bleed.

You mean late 90s, if it were a 9-5.

Or a Saab 9000, if it was the early 90s.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
