I have been able to play MKV files for a while now through the Xbox 360 media center. The trick is to get the files to play on your media center computer that you are streaming the files from. I use a windows 7 computer and I used this guide:

The instant you get them to play in media center on your computer, they will play on the xbox 360.
I swear, if Sprint restricts this phone from SERO people, I will find one of them and bite them. Then again, if they allow me to upgrade to this from my Touch Pro for 50 dollars cause I have TEP, I will bite myself. Your move sprint.
No, you are getting less than you pay for. Dyson figured out that they could position themselves as "luxury" vacuums by raising the price above all others. Sure its a good vacuum, but it scores no better in consumer reports or almost any other reviews than a vacuum a fraction of its cost. See, 300 is an expensive vacuum, and consumers would just shun it as an expensive vacuum. 500 or 600 and consumers automatically associate that with luxury because of how far apart it is from the cost of all other vacuums. The vacuum is INSTANTLY good because of its price.
I could actually use this right now. My xbox RROD tonight and not even the heatgun fix seems to be bringing it back to life.
I just had to log on to say BRAVO sir. Comment of the week.

I think having a screen that is 480x800 vs the iphone 3gs' 480x320 is a big deal. You can have all the processing power you want, the Touch Pro 2 still has more than double the pixel density, the ability to freely install programs without apple's approval, the ability to fully customize/optimize the device, full GPS programs with TTS available, etc. Will I be upgrading from my Touch Pro? No, not worth it. But to shrug off the Touch Pro 2 as nothing special especially when you are using the Iphone as the benchmark is ridiculous. Until the iPhone can do basic phone functions, its not a serious smartphone, but rather a portable entertainment device which happens to have the ability to call people. Also, with all that processing power and graphics power, you would think that the phone could handle more than one program at a time.
I have a Touch Pro on Sero. When the Hero comes out, I will probably have the Hero on Sero. Sprint is too stupid of a company to actually have a policy that can not be side stepped. They gave me the Touch Pro for free btw, to replace the Mogul they paid me to take a year earlier. Love sprint.
Im sorry, I have a Windows Mobile phone and I absolutely don't understand the fascination with multitouch. There are like 3 uses for it that I can think of. resizing pictures, websites and MAYBE some game application. Other than the games, why is it that twirling my finger over my touch sensitive d-pad on my Touch Pro to zoom in on a website or picture isnt sufficient? Personally, I think the ability to run more than 1 application at a time is much more important to the operation of a mobile phone than whether I can impress my friends once with the phone by using 2 fingers to resize something.
@ seamonkey420

The last windows mobile OS you have used is Windows Mobile 5? That is 3 Windows OS revisions ago. You missed out on 6, 6.1 and now 6.5. I think you would be surprised at how much changed in the 6->6.1 and 6.1->6.5 revisions.
@ crawdad689

The reason is because there is not one centralized store where you are FORCED to buy your applications from. Windows mobile has thousands of freeware applications and thousands upon thousands of companies and developers selling applications scattered all over the place. Try and control that.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
