4G & 8G is the solid state drive capacity. Yes it Runs XP and Ubuntu, vista is too much for it to handle.
Until I can legally buy this and transfer it to my iPod with my MacBook, bittorrent it is. I have gladly paid in the past....if the idiots won't let me pay for what is on the air free, their loss.
#7, I am on the $100 for 200Gb and it seems to be working OK. I am in wifi coverage a lot though
Because, the lower users mostly will move up to higher end systems eventually. If they learn to use Linux then moving to Windows later becomes a barrier.

I really don't see why people think this is a bad thing - As long as they don't sell my name and personal viewing habits.

Companies want to market stuff to people who will actually buy it. If I have to be subjected to advertisements, I would prefer they actually be relevant to me. It seems like everyone wins here.
I have a MacBook sitting on my desk.

Really it it underpowered, I would prefer something with a little more speed, but I want the smallest form factor for when I travel.

If a ultra portable came out from Apple. Something like the Eee PC running OSX. I would ditch the MacBook, buy an iMac and this small device.

I wonder how unique I really am in this desire.

I know I could just get an iMac to use with the MacBook, but the difference doesn't seem enough to justify.

The small computer doesn't need much:
- Keynote
- Mail
- Pages
- iTunes (to watch on the plane)

I wonder if the Eee PC can be hacked to run OSX....hmmm
Not shocking. Nokia has been hedging with this sort of thing. The N770, N800, and N810 while products, seem to be more for developing the expertise in-house on a small linux platform.
It has options for TV-OUT ???
OK, I am an Apple fanboy. I own waaay to many Apple products, and upgrade far too often. But a slightly smaller AC adapter is news????????
The 33% growth in Mac sales is very impressive when you consider the year ago quarter had the bulk of the burst in sales that had been postponed due to the intel transition.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
