Of course, if you downloaded it via Steam this does not apply to you.
once you put 6 videocards in there, the thing might need it's own dedicated circuit breaker!
Hmmm, this story should be followed by a sort of "the history of joystiq". You guys could remenice of the good ole times, and past stories and events.

Also, do you have a link to the very first joystiq post?
Honestly, I really didn't like any of these too much. The best one was the "up down up down" charade that really isn't all that funny anymore. (they forgot the "Fatality" part at the end)

To be honest, the best comic this week is the combination of fear and loathing in Las Vegas and Super Mario Bros. for the "Today in Joystiq" post.
that lobster claw thumb still gives me nightmares
"How many people will wonder into traffic looking at email on their contacts?"
None. People tend to look at their email in their inbox, not their contact list. If you want to try to be a smart ass, at least get the smart part right.
I believe this will make 3-way SLI actually useful. Because, you know, that third card is really pulling it's own at the moment. Oh, and this might promote developers to actually make use of PhysX acceleration since we've removed the chicken and the egg problem.
Someone at sony really needs a good slap in the face.

Situation:
we can now produce the ps3 for less money

Action:
Instead of dropping the price, lets throw more crap in the box to keep the price sky high, while still removing useful features like backwards compatibility. Genius!

You know, the whole overpriced console thing is really working for them and all. Oh, and I really doubt there to be any price drop.
this is the 360 were talking about. PC -> 360 = very easy. Well, not as easy as a simple recompile, but you don't need to reinvent the universe like a PS3 port.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
