Remember the Monty Python sketch about the man with three buttocks? Looks like he sat on the hood of the new 5-series...
WTF is that mass of (copper?) tubes making a j-turn down the side of the vehicle? Part of the cooling system or the exaust?
The switch to an ultra-low sulpher formulation probably had more to do with relatively high diesel prices in 2007/08.
This repair cost comparison is based on insurance claims, right?
That doesn't say much (if anything) about the relative cost of "normal" repairs & service on the Prius vs. non-hybrids.
My personal experience (2006 Prius purchased Jan2006, now has ~74K miles) – repair costs have been much lower than any other car I have ever owned. That’s largely because I haven’t had ANY work done other that oil changes & standard service. I haven’t even had the brake pads/rotors replaced yet – maybe longer life due to regenerative braking? I was a bit skeptical when I bought the Prius – I thought the gas mileage benefits might be out-weighed by higher initial cost and repair costs (as implied by this study). For me, that hasn’t been the case.
Non-hybrid economy cars (like Civic & Fit) still win for lowest total cost of ownership – assuming they are as well made as the Prius.

if R2 and C3PO are gay, who is the bottom?
"Last of the V Eight Interceptors... a piece of history. Would have been ashame to blow it up."
what are the odds...?
Are all US model available for Euro Delivery? Any lag in available of ED for new model (like not the first year)?

Hmmm....I'm going to be in Rome for a month next summer... arrange ED, fly into Munich, and I'll have a car for the month and a new ride when I get home -- well, a month after I get home. Now, to convince the wife.. "Honey, think of the money I'm saving on the car rental."
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
