I thought of that, but that's not the right type of can. I belive that soup cans are generally smaller, and the air around it would prevent it from getting hot enough. Of course, if it did get hot enough, how would you remove it to eat it without further inconvenience?
Tea, why didn't I think of that?!
I agree a thmos is a much better idea, everything is better when it's wireless (I feel the need to make a fertility joke about radiation and heat, but I see no way of making it funny). Still I don't think I've ever run across tea in a can that wasn't meant to be drank cold (Iced Tea, as those in the know are calling it) although widespread adoption of this and similar devices could change that (It seems I've fallen into a cyclical hole, Oh dear!)
When do you ever come across a can of liquid you need to heat? I see how this would be a trivial feature to add from an engineering stand point, but it's basically useless for the user. Why possibly make this USB powered either, it's not like its something you'd want to plug into a laptop and use off the battery as heat pumps generally consume a significant amount of power (especially to effect fluids quickly enough to be worth bothering), and if your laptop is plugged in, you could obviously plug this in too. The cooling is neat though, I guess.
It's not about weather they'll actually sell 10 Million, I'm with you in that they won't. It that your claim is outrageously unsupported by the evidence you supply. The ps3 is not comparable to the iPhone just because of market size. If you simply scale the numbers, assuming the iPhone sells as well in market share as the ps3, the should sell more than 10 Million.
I think this was only really slightly touched on, but how would one go about making an ad for OSX? Sure the iPhone ads are better, I think we basically all agree on that, but how does one show the subtle superiorities of OSX? Sure apple could touch on some of the feature that make OSX better than windows, but that would inevitably compare Macs and PC's. Ultimately the reasons I use my MacBook more than my old PC are the reasons that aren't apparent to anyone who doesn't use a Mac, and that can't be understood without using a Mac. Features like Quicksilver, system wide spell check, the developer community, reliability, Core Audio/Image etc. That and Macs look good too.
My point, which seems to have gotten slightly lost somewhere in here, is that the reason we use macs, and the reason that we think the current commercials don't do them justice is too much for Windows users to even begin to fathom. I say this as someone who switched a year ago next month. When I first got my Mac I remember being amazed by the simplest things, like the lack on installers on most everyday apps. If I had been told about things like Quicksilver and Text Expander I wouldn't have seen the point.
As awesome as this is, Samus would totally kick his ass. Why was MC a women at the end?
I'm so confused!
Awesome fight scene though
As a new mac user, i was skeptical as to weather or not I shold even bother with my old PC, but I decided to go for it, and I think I made the right choice.
I like vista, Alot. I running a Pentium 4, 3Ghz with a gig of ram and a new (I bought it for vista) AGP version of the GeForce 7600GS, it runs well. I really like areo, despite it resource whoring, WMP really shouldn't slow down my system when resizing the window. A basic list of Pros and Cons follows.

Pros:
a useful search function compared to XP
no more dog/paperclip etc
Areo
Sidebar
Media Center and my Xbox 360
being able to use a native photoshop again!
the new windows explorer is better then finder in my opinion.

Cons:
Flip 3D, I think its useless, Expose is better, so is Alt-Tab
Media Center and my Xbox 360 (it stopped working)
mediocre game performance (HL2 barely runs better then my old FX 5700LE, although that may not be vista's fault)
ctrl-alt-deleting brings up that annoying menu
security features are annoying, as Im to lazy to disable them

Basically I like vista, It made me finally get around to fixing my computer, and made it more comfortable to use, but I still miss quicksilver.
Hey, how many Agility orb things can you get bofore the timeout? I got 140! Also, the game is awsome, I might get it for non-Beta reasons, and the co-op with a friend make this one of the best sandbox games i've played (extrapolating the missing parts(i hope))
I own a 360. and a Wii
I bought a 360 cause it was cheaper then upgrading my computer (RIP GeForce Ti 4200) to play oblivion, and i knew about some other games i wanted (hl2, mass effect, bioshock). I got the Wii because zelda games are my favorite, and my gamecube is broken. I dont really want a ps3 from a moral standpoint, just becuase of the direction Sony is taking the platform, and as of yet, there just arn't enough exclusive games for it. I never owned an xbox 1 by the way, because halo was the only game i know of worth playing for it and i just played halo ce.
Uhhm, placeholder textures? it says it in the ViDoc...

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
