May I introduce you to merino wool? Already has all these properties... nothing beats it when you're spending multiple days in the field.

If I recall correctly it is running some cut-down form of ArcPad from ESRI... has to be one of the most un-intuitive pieces of software I've ever had to use or teach others to use.
Combine this with a 3 axis inertial sensor and you could generate a point cloud model of a room just by panning the camera around! Cool implications for high-speed 3D modeling.
Perhaps that is why it is called a "Car Brand Perception Survey"... I think the point is to gauge how well car companies are connecting with consumers, not determine which is safest, fastest, coolest, etc...
Yes please for the Wii!
Cellular One has it.

I might be way off in left field here... but FSJ's writing style really reminds me of the guy that used to write "As the Apple Turns"

I seem to remember he was in the greater Boston area... what ever happened to that guy? The last post on the old site is from October of '05.

What a great idea...
Above comment is Bogus.

I know three Prius drivers in Anchorage and Fairbanks and they get along just fine. The engine rus all the time, but they are still seeing mileage in high 30's.

I work with a bunch of folks who commute to Anchorage from the Mat-Su valley (30 miles each way), and there has been a definate change in what they drive on a daily basis. The long line of super duty trucks in the parking lot is now broken up by quite a few Saturn coups and sedans.

With a good set of studded tires you can survive just fine with out all wheel drive in Anchorage (which is where 1/2 the population of the state lives).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
