I have a set of 24's on my Escalade that are made of metal. I know that before these things can be certified, they must be stress tested. I would assume that for rims being made in 22" and 24" this was especially important before they could gain street legality. I always imagine sooner or later something like this would be made and now that I see them, I hate em.
History is repeating itself.

One of the reasons PS@ had such great sales in Japan when it was first released was because the cheapest DVD players at that time were upwards of $1000. This caused PS2 to be chosen as an all around device (DVD player + game console) rather than purchasing the expensive DVD player.

PS3 is EASILY going to be the best selling Blu Ray device once it is released.

My only thought is however that BLURAY hasn't yet really penetrated the market. Sure some players are being sold and some disks are available but most people are still too used to just regular DVD's to go out and spend $30 on a Blu Ray disk which is certainly going to drop in price in a year or two (just like the DVD did).
Why is the Wii one using a Sony LCD?

LOL - that's a very good point. Too bad Nintendo doesn't make LCD's and SONY's name is on almost every American electronic there is.

I don't see myself buying a WII.
I'm definately buying a 60 Gigabyte PS3. So far, the games look pretty good to me and I'd buy without even seeing the Kiosk - just like when I got Xbox360.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
