Jul 18th 2008 8:09AM pwfletcher is a shining example of why one should have to take and pass a competency test before purchasing a PC.
I'm sure he (she?) regularly attempts to save the entire internet (its easy, just press Alt+F4) to his HDD before turning off his PC so as not to lose his witty comments.

Mar 4th 2008 3:03PM At first glance I truly thought that was a case made to look like an AT-ST from Star Wars. That would have been awesome.
This, though...I poop on this.

Just because you're cool enough to wear Sony bookshelf speakers on your head doesn't mean you get to start referring to yourself using the "Royal We". :)
New MacBook Pro part numbers leaked? {Engadget}
Feb 25th 2008 1:22PM Yep.
Apple announces a 3G iPhone for ATT and simultaneously announces that because Steve Jobs sees this improved iPhone as an excellent value for customers and he wants all current iPhone owners to have the new version, all current iPhones on ATT will be deactivated, effective immediately. Current owners will then be lucky enough to have the opportunity to upgrade to the new iPhone for a nominal one-time fee of....$399 (trade-in of old, non-functional iPhone required).
All Apple fanbois will rejoice* and happily whip out their credit cards, whilst Apple will post another quarter of record profits as a result of the move.
* Fanboi rejoicing may include, but is not limited to, feverishly posting to non-Flash-based websites about the news from their new 3G iPhone, while continuing to espouse the myriad benefits of not having their browsing experience bogged down with Flash. As a tangent, Steve Jobs will announce that Flash will henceforth be known as the "Red Light District" of mobile web browsing. Iphone owners will again rejoice, as they now have proof from Jobs himself that "the dirty Flash" is not in their best interests to have.
Optimus Maximus shipments begin {Engadget}
Feb 21st 2008 5:07PM I suspect that you are in fact missing the functional greatness of this device. It has the ability to map nearly unlimited functions to individual keys, and have custom images show up on each screen (key). This could have some powerful applications for graphic professionals, photoshop gurus, etc.
Unfortunately these will all be bought by the same folks that happily paid up for the SSD MacBook Air, and the keys will be reprogrammed to collectively display Steve Jobs' face...

Feb 20th 2008 7:04PM I appreciate the overt enthusiasm you display for your Apple product. This will keep other Apple fanbois content and gleeful, as they will readily agree with you that, yes, your iPod is in fact better off without Flash because "that's how The Steve wants it."
What I appreciate much more however, is the subtle sarcasm you've incorporated into your post to let those of us who are intelligent (read: not Apple fanbois) know that there is in fact an Apple owner who is firmly rooted in reality. It's like a smaller sliver of light, breaking through the immense cloud that is Jobs' RDF.
Overall sir, your comment is drenched in winsauce.
The gigantic "HTC Magnum" is convenient, inconspicuous {Engadget}
Feb 5th 2008 6:05PM Really? No one recognizes that as an HP monitor (22")? Look at the rounded bezel and the 4 silver buttons on the upper right of the device on that picture, and then compare to this link:

Jan 28th 2008 11:37AM Yes, this does apply to the Sprint Vogue/Touch and the Sprint Mogul. Both of these phones also use Qualcomm MS7xxx chipset.
Poll: What's wrong with Sprint? {Engadget}
Jan 18th 2008 12:58PM I'm a longtime Sprint customer, and wouldn't switch my service for anything. With that said, I have a fantastic plan right now that is far cheaper than anything available from another carrier, so that helps. My service is great, EVDO speeds are top notch, and their CS can be good if you know who to talk to (their normal CS, however, is downright atrocious).
I'm a PPC user, and for me their phone selection is great (currenly using the HTC Touch, which I love), however I agree to an extent that the normal phone selection is poor. To play devil's advocate, however, while carriers like VZW may have far more phones than Sprint, it appears a lot of them are the dime-a-dozen Samsung/Kyocera/LG crap. The exceptions to this are phones like the new Chocolate, the Voyager, etc.
