now all we need is for artists to record their music in 7.1 to make these useful. that is unless you're watching blu-ray movies with headphones... who would do such a thing?
"When asked about MP3 players, some 82-percent of those that already owned some form of DAP stated that it was an iPod"

I think that number is waaaay skewed. Hell, 82% of the people I know think *any* DAP is an "iPod."
and it will be released in 6 months...
This thread is useless without pics.
hah. 700 for that? what a joke. with 8gigs of internal flash, then we're talkin 700. but without? what a joke. oh and look, 3g? cool, now i can use all that bandwidth to uh...go to uh...websites that i cant type in? or uh...buy music that i'd normally buy on my computer and re-tag/backup?

this entire nokia release event was a huge disappointment.
While the 3dimensional navigation is EXTREMELY sexy, the whole point of the lanes on the road is moot. GPS is only accurate up to 45 feet horizontally, and even if you're navigation unit is equipped with Differential GPS you're still looking at 16 feet accuracy. Considering a given highway lane is roughly 12 feet (in the suburbs), the breaking down of roads into a lane by lane basis is useless.

But I'd still buy it!
looks like UniquePhones should read engadget more often as they JUST posted an article from a lawyer saying a measure like the one that was stated here would be considered illegal, but if it were given away for non-profit use, it would be legal.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
