Yeah i do find this very funny as an US Navy Aegis Computer Fire Control Technician. The term computer bug was actually coined at my current base, Naval Support Facilty Dahlgren's Computation and Anaysis Building decades ago. Moth found in system. Computer debugged.
If pontiac does go the way of the dodo, I really hopes GM brings this over as the Caprice and gets rid of the impalla. The dubai version of this platform w/ caprice sheetmetal looks amazing. Great replacement for impalla and crown vic police interceptors as well.
Even though this is a hoax, GM should consider unloading its HUMMER brand onto International. International already produces a significant quantity of American military vehicles and the Hummer brand invokes images of the good ole Humvee. It would also allow International to seperate its comercial and military endeavors as well as create or more succesful niche for consumer off road vehicles. It give GM and International the oppertunity to keep HUMMER relevant and American while allowing the brand to downsize.
um I think everyone is forgeting that the fore mentioned netbook already exists albeit not on the ion platform. The Asus N10 has an nvidia9300m atom 270 and HDMI out. It CAN handle 1080p quite smoothly!
the HP Touchsmart TX2 is the same size, multi-touch and has more ram capacity (up to 8 gb), and discrete ati graphics. It loooks nicer in my opinion as well.
No my perfect netbook would have the nano and discrete nvidia graphics. a hybrid 32gb ssd w/ a real spinning hd for media and a touchscreen would also be great. a real premium netbook. sorta like a baby tx2000.
the reason the iphone was mentioned was bc the iphone lacks 3g but has wifi so in areally really really lame way u could have a 3g iphone if you used both devices.
Oh it is ez 4 the govt to moniere ur calls alot easier than listening in and using ur phone as a 21st century bug.
@ john gos is not required. triangulation is also an accepted method. it is alot less accutte a. abt a 300 yard range and taht only works when you are within range of 3 cell towerts so generally only in large metropolitan areas.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
