You are kidding right? Engadget has been so pro-Apple it hurts to read sometimes. They are, however, also being fair in reporting the bad along with the good as reporters should.
So, Apple trumps Microsoft again.... Microsoft gives you a 360 that will work for about a year then give you a RRoD and you have to get it repaired.

Apple gives you a computer that won't bother with giving you the joys of actually working out of the box so you don't have the disappointment of the failure later.

Next commercial: "I moved all of my stuff to a Mac, then I logged in with a guest account on Snow Leopard and it deleted everything! They fixed that and I'd already made to change, so, I bought this awesome new Mac with the same guts as my crusty old PC and once I get it replaced with one that works it's going to be so great..."

Most of the stuff worth watching on TV now is available online shortly after it airs. If you have Netflix, you'll find a lot of the stuff that isn't already out there on Hulu or something similar. The only reason I still have cable is for the kids to watch Disney and for football games on ESPN or NFL Network. Plus, I don't think the wife would go for the idea of dropping cable even though we dont watch a lot.
With them going back and fourth with Google recently and Google bringing Android out as an OS, this could be a power play by Apple just to get in the way of possible competition.
So, I've been looking at some of the options out there and decided to give Ooma a try. I wish I'd questioned Vonage before.... thanks for the discussion guys.
I hope they plan on a new drive technology to go with these things. It would be nice to be able to replace the tape backups with these. We'd reclaim tons of physical space once those LTO2's expire.
Talk about a ripoff. Even if someone isn't computer savy, who doesn't know at least one person that can handle the Easy Transfer process?
Unless you plan on sharing this with a few people (I still call it a ripoff) that $40 could be better spent on a Windows for Dummies book...
Let's see how many people get the upgrade and slap this thing in two USB ports on the same machine to transfer data...
^^comment of the day so far...
wow, and U_Love_Microsoft? I'd like to see your comments on something you hate....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
