I dont see any shame.
This thing may suck as a touchpad, but it can be very useful on other kind of stuff.
I have something similar for my robot to detect the surface under it. (and other uses that Im not gonna give my idea out for free.)
And this is just a weekend project, I make craps in my bedroom every weekend and I think I've learnt more than those people with a higher GPA. (They came to me for advices on their senior projects.)
Since it is not a product, I dont see this is a shame.
Great, if I can custom the count down pictures, I am gonna make it like: 3 (3 fingers),2 (2 fingers) and 1 (middle finger)---> snap.
I have the same thought. I think the word "party" makes me think in this way.

I am just 21 and I looks like 17... but I wasnt able to be there coz I have final exams for engineering class lol
Wifi detection under pants with vibration... a humble way to detect wifi without showing everyone that you got a wifi detection device.
I have no idea why you guys think this watch is "ugly". I personally think this watch is not as bad as what you said and it has a acceptable look. My university has wifi covered but not everywhere, and this watch would come in handy for me.
I know...I know...the "wifi" button...but is that really such a big deal?
Also, I've fortgot to mention that eveytime I pay a visit in Hong Kong, I usually spend around $40USD within 3 weeks in those arcades machines. And I have to WAIT to get my turn to play. So I do think there is obviously a market and worth putting $ in.
*sorry for using addition comment.

May be it is old school for you, but not for me. I used to live in Hong Kong and I love arcades. Unlike the US, the cities in Asia have higher population density comparing to those in US. You can find many arcades around the street and they are awesome and pretty new. You can play shooting and even card game online in the arcades store.
I do admit that I miss arcades since Ive been moving to NY for 5 yrs. The real fun is you can compete with your friend and other people face to face and we all give whatever we've got, with real skills, no hacks.
guys, it is saying downward movement of water, not necessary to be just your waste... it can be the water from taking a bath, washing dishes or etc. Plus, you can store the enrgy that may help reducing a few $ of you electric bill each month.
Commercial knockoff engineering not = real engineering. Beside, making rocket use the same rocket theory, the only difference is NASA wish to put companies logo on their rocket while the Chinese don't.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
