"It's about time someone invented this." What the hell? How condescending can you be? This kind of technology took millions of dollars and years of hard work by many people, and all you can say is "It's about time"? What have you done to further technology? If it's so simple, why didn't YOU invent it years ago?
What good is HD in a five-inch screen?
Not everyone on the Internet is from the United States. You should know that :/
Another US company being bought by an overseas one? Damn. Pretty soon, America is going to be owned by everyone but America.
Why is this coverage so annoyingly negative? Talking about crashing and all that? I'm switching to another blog.
Anyone have a price point for this thing? I'd like to see it for
>>WWDC is gonna be all about Leopard. That's why it's called world wide DEVELOPERS conference.

That's what it was all about LAST year. It was exciting then, but one year later and no OS X for another four months isn't too exiting, unless you want to get your hands on the seeded feature-complete Beta...
Frank: Good luck looking for that iPod update. You can hold your breath for WWDC*, but with all this iPhone funnybusiness as of late I'm surprised Apple even managed to update their laptops. About that laptops: I'm not overly impressed. The difference, as usualy, between the MB and MBP is rather minute (.04Ghz, 1 more GB of RAM that can be bought on NewEgg for $100, LED screen, and Santa Rosa. The LED screen is the only thing to write home about, I think).

*WWDC? That reminds me... what is jobs going to reveal now? iPhone again?
That sucks, man. I've heard a ton of bad stories about Apple, but I also have coworkers who 6-year-old Apple Laptops that haven't malfunctioned once. Granted, I've only had my MacBook for about two weeks, but so far I love it. Personally, I choose to try the experience out myself - sometimes it isn't that the company (whether it is Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Sony...) is all bad, it's just that the ones with bad experiences are especially vocal (and rightly so; if you had a shitty deal with a company, you have every right to bitch and moan.) while the satisfied customers have no reason to talk about it. I'm trying it out myself, and so are 7 of my friends. That'll be the true test.
I can tell you that my new macbook does have better specs than the 710m: 2.16>2.0, 1GB>512.... the only thing I envy about that 710m is the battery life of 5+hours, but I'm quit satisfied with this OS.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
