I wouldn't put it past some of the existing major teams to purchase this. The teams grab every chance to find out what the opposition is up to, and Toyota had _some_ decent ideas that could help a team to improve somewhere.
It is most definitely a Honda design. Honda were working in some way or another on the 2009 car long before the beginning of 2008, as they wanted to fully exploit the huge rule changes.
I should add, however, that I think it's good to see some progress from Lotus already. They were the latest team to join and they've got a lot of catching up to do.

My comment just now was made in the hope that this isn't anywhere near what the car will look like, as I'd hate to see them stuck around the arse-end of the grid.
That model (and the workshop that it is in) both look very amateur.
There is a market for this sort of car. Even if it's just people who used to own Messerschmitts and miss them (like my dad). There was a market for the Messerschmitt/Tiger, it may have been small but it was a market nonetheless.
Forgot to add, these do look pretty cool though.

To all the people worrying about fibres poking in your face and so on, have you heard of lacquer?
It's probably also not as hard as they say to lay up some glasses and do some machining after. We make a lot of small CF parts where I work - granted, I work for a Formula One team, but that's not the point.

What I'd like to see is some glasses made out of something like Windform XT. They'd be good for anyone wanting some light and rugged glasses.
@Michael

Energy used is energy used. It doesn't matter how efficient each process is when all you're measuring is the total used.

If you put 5l of fuel in a car, some may be wasted through heat etc, but you still burnt all 5l of it.
Is your comment a joke?

I've never seen anything but the opposite suggested by Dorna. Any references?

"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
