This is why I constantly scan for other gadget blogs.

This whole cool with the scene, bling bling thing is dull. Gadgets, not jewelry, thanks.
Ok, these two nerdy looking guys are using a Sun computer, running Windows, to develop an interface for an Apple only system for stylish people.

Now if only Jobs could think in such an open way (viz his comments about running the open, cross platform java me on the iphone).
Ugh. I know what this is for. In Canada at least it's impossible to get flat rate Internet (on GSM networks). Instead they want to sell "unlimited limited" access - all the Blueberry access you can use, all the MSN messaging you can use, all the Hiptop you can use. This way, they can partially satisfy the customer (especially the addictive messaging ones) and not provide real Internet, which might lead us to, heaven forbid, VOIP. If the device has no Bluetooth or other nasty ways to share data, even better for the uncompetitive Canadian carriers.
3 GB max? Give me a break. Who is this thing for?
I've been using a touch screen with fingernail for years. Just curl your finger around so you are using the soft back of your index fingernail. Works great.
Please god, let it have GPS. Then it will truly have it all.

Yes, we know. No one is claiming it is as good as a real 5.1 setup. It's a simulation for people who don't want 5.1 speakers. The reviews of the Yamaha, Polk and other solutions say they work well for what they are, with limitations. Big surprise. Anyway, thank for defending those helpless consumers who might have had compromised sound!

You know, I was about to say, spare us the schmaltz with the opening and closing segments (intro and outro?) but then I noticed... are you using a Severed Heads tune?

Mein gott!
RELATIVELY quiet 25db? Once again, Engadget displays its ignorance. Very few projectors, even the highest end home theatre models, pretend to have such a low noise level. I wouldn't believe it for a second. What Engadget should be saying is that as a low cost DLP based projector, it probably has lousy colour reproduction, with a ghoulish cast to everything, and a low speed wheel for "rainbow effect" galore, and is therefore totally unsuitable as a home theatre/entertainment projector.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
