well. Gateway wasn't even formed until 1985. the original Macintosh all-in-one came out in 1984. the Lisa preceded it in 1983. the Kaypro II and Osbourne both preceded the Apple models by a year or so as well.

i think he was talking of the more mordern all in ones (mid 90s)

btw this is meant as a desktop replacement not a super portable laptop nubs

Oh well, Dell is screwed now anyway, since we have XP running on macs. Viva la BootCamp.

how is dell screwed? doesnt seem like it to me

stfu apple fanboy
A 360 costs $400-500. What kind of gaming PC could you get for $800-1000?

Answer: A really crappy outdated one that won't even play current PC games, let alone something in the future.

Console gaming gurantees that your machine will stay up to date. Developers design games for your exact configuration. Making games perfrom ideally.

actually you can build quite nice pc with a 7900gt

build your own dont buy from an oem
lik3 omg that spid3m4n font is the ugly

who the hell cares what font they use. are you a girl? what the hell

and the boomerange controller got axed so stop crying. for all you know it could have been the most comfortable controller ever and you owuld still whine.

. I think in regards to the comment about why places like Japan get the latest technology is because companies can easily introduce it in Japan and it will be bought no matter how good or bad it is and turn in some kind of profit. Americans on the other hand always want a product that has best features while having the best value for the money.

thats why americans buy crappy american cars that break in 3 years?
It's amazing that they show a $1500 lens (85mm f1.2) on a prosumer camera like this!

lol its true
hey idiots

wah wah why wont sony support aac on their players waah wahh apple is awesome

first off sony developed aac
sony is not using aac because atrac3+ is actually pretty decent
how is sony 2 years behind? they have already developed a player like this. If that was the case we could say apple was 4 years behind with the shuffle.

btw this has a screen and the shuffle does not

and to engadget shut up with your anti sony crap and i love apple and try to be as unbiased as possible

there is a world where apple/sony/microsoft/all major companies can live together in peace. believe me i use all those companies products and respect them for what they are good at.
And you paid less because of the resolution. Your 19" screen has 1280x1024 resolution, whereas this Dell has 1680x1050 with about the same amount of screen real estate (do the math - it's 20" diagonal vs. 19, but with a 16x10 aspect ratio vs. 4x3). Higher density screens cost more, and yes, some people do need them.

and the failure to be a smartass award goes to Jeff

the 19 inch widescreen has a 1440x900 resolution
but if it was 19 inch with a 1280x1024 resolution it would be 5:4 ratio not 4:3
if it can onlyy play from a fat32 hd then say goodbye to high def movies since fat32 can only have up to 4gb single file
Can you name a specific sony product that this website "bashed" that turned out to be the bees knees?

Minidisc players

Engadget was like omgosh no one uses those then in about 100 posts 95% of the people said they used them still
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
