Feb 6th 2009 10:19AM Guys, leaders of almost every industry grease over politicians for company gains. It's the most influential and socially acceptable form of bribery (and in some cases, blackmail).

'w00t' is Merriam-Webster's word of the year {Joystiq}

Dec 12th 2007 2:06PM w00p was definitely pre 1998 gaming. Amongst Q2 engines from my perspectives at least.

"we owned the other team" isn't the origin, but it can been seen as an accurate definition.

'w00t' is Merriam-Webster's word of the year {Joystiq}

Dec 12th 2007 11:30AM Actually, being an avid online gamer since the days of Quake 2, SiN, and such, I believe I know the true origin of this word. When I first started playing online games, everyone would say, "w00p"-- ending with a “p”, not a “t”. I soon realized that it was simply an expression of joy, or pure ownage. Towards the end of an active community in SiN, and towards the start of UT99, w00p slowly got replaced by w00t, which held the exact same meaning.

So for me, the true origin is w00p. So now maybe we need to research on how w00p got started….

Ubiquiti creates the first commercial 700MHz WiFi card {Engadget}

Oct 10th 2007 12:16PM So wait a minute.

I don't really understand how this is going to work.

You're telling me that these cards have 30 mile ranges? So will we be able to see THOUSANDS of wifi networks once everyone gets these cards? I live in a real urban area right north of downtown Dallas. I can only imagine that there would be 100,000+ wifi networks.
