Still trying to sell a 3-year old OS and phone? Sad.

I'm not a Verizon Wireless fan but kudos to them for finally doing to Apple/AT&T what they've done to so many other companies. Always fun to see the schoolyard bully get his butt kicked by a bigger bully. Verizon really destroyed the competition's brand with this Droid advertising campaign.
Ugh Engadget writers are typical city liberals. Palin derangement syndrome. The more you hate on her, the more insulting and dismissive you are of her, and the more focus on her the more powerful she will become you stupid lefties. Same thing happened to Hillary Clinton and she came very close to becoming the President of the United States. If not for Obama, nothing would have stopped Hillary Clinton from being President right now.
webOS is still the best mobile operating system in my opinion. It brings the desktop experience to a mobile phone with a great deal of polish. Android and WinMo can multi-task but they do it in a very inelegant way. WebOS just needs more apps (only about 400 thus far) and better codec support.
Stock android OS is ugly. Sense UI is much better. I'm sure someone will get Sense UI running on DROID though. Hopefully HTC ROM can enable multitouch.
I LOVE the docking functionality of this device, but I still think Android OS sucks. The lack of upgrades to an official 2.0 release of an OS are really disappointing. Can't believe there is still no multitouch standard in browser and in google maps. This OS version sounds more like Android 1.7 at best. I also noticed repeatedly that they mentioned functionality was better on the Pre like web browsing speed and multi-touch support, social networking integration, etc. When you consider how much longer Android has been out compared to the Palm Pre I think it's a pretty big failing on Google's part. WebOS is underrated in my opinion. I think Palm's OS is the best OS out there right now and it's greatest failing (app selection) is something that is starting to quickly disappear. As much as I like the free google maps navigation in Android 2.0, the truth is that on Sprint you get far superior car navigation for free with their smartphone plans. A Palm Touch Stone on your dash coupled with Sprint Navigation and multitouch beats this Droid implementation from what I've seen.

If I was a Verizon customer who wanted Android I might wait for the HTC Dragon that will most likely have an updated version of HTC's Sense for Android (with multitouch) running on a 1GHz processor. If not that then the HTC HD2 certainly compares favorably.
Too bad this is on Verizon. Sprint $70/mo is a much better deal than Verizon. Sprint nights = 7PM-7AM, Sprint = unlimited calling to all carriers, Sprint messaging = free, Sprint Visual Voicemail = free, Sprint Navigation = free, Sprint = NFL Mobile, etc.
I never thought a show about super heroes could suck this much. I think I've spotted the HTC Hero and the Palm Pixi as well on Heroes. Searching for new Sprint product placement gives me something interesting to do while I'm waiting for anything interesting to happen this season.
Pretty big deal that you can now purchase HD movies on Xbox 360, in my opinion. Also you can finally use their video store with all Xbox 360's since it doesn't require hard drive space anymore. People with Core/Arcade/20GB systems couldn't really use the video store previously. Now that they've moved to streaming video it opens up the service to everyone.
Don't understand why they chose to support Last.FM users, but not Zune music. Weird.

Zune 4.0 software has pretty much identical functionality to Last.FM. This move sort of rips out the rug from under the Zune team. Last.FM has a similar artist screensaver and music preferences system to Zune. Xbox 360 functionality could have sold a lot of music and Zune Passes.
Great Scott! Marty put on these boots!

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
