Why do both models pictured demonstrating the product above have short hair cuts?
Last gen looks on an upcoming Apple product? Sorry, I'm not buying it, analogically and literally if it is indeed published from someone working for Apple. Which like I stated I don't believe it is.
@i2ehan

A G3 from that time still comes mighty close to the iPhone's ARM based, later G3 based CPUs such as the those found in the Nintendo Gamecube and Wii far exceed it.
I meant about half a pound considering the heaviest piece of hardware in any laptop aside from the case is the battery followed by the hardrive.
I am at odds to why folks are complaining single core processor in this netbook, its highly unlikely you will be running any other applications at the same time aside from a media player while surfing the web. As for screen resolution it maybe a bit low at 15.6' but at 14' I can't imagine many people wanting to go beyond 1024x768 for the desktop. It also has a great GPU for the max screen resolution, which would make it fine for running most games at medium/low. It also comes with a pretty beefy battery which makes it able for you to be able to watch an entire movie in 720p (1080p would be redundant on a 14' screen) and overall it would be a pretty good piece of kit if price wasn't an issue.

All in all this is a "netbook" (trademark stolen from Psion) not a "notebook" so MSI is in the right to fleece those who want a laptop that is lighter only because they removed about 300 gram or about a pound optical disc drive so stop whining!

"Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated."

Many BBC videos still have problems working outside of the Ivory Isles.
Not to go totally OT here but seriously #$%^ those who chat about mergers as though they are a great thing. These sort of acquisitions usually lead to further layoffs and an initially stripped product line as the two companies in agree figure out how to mix and match their assets while spending huge amounts of liquidity.

Also, even if the NEC/Renesas chip making titan were to consume AMD, people who constantly spout about how AMD needs to be bought to cure its lackluster product line wouldn't still give a flying $%^& about whatever company emerges.

So in all in all to those who chat about how business X should acquire business Y just shut it and continue to purchase whatever SUITES YOU!

And so was the American dollar... next!
Windows CE POS, someone please refresh me on how long did it take for the nix community to get some implementation of OpenGL and a decent web browser on mobile ARM devices again? I rank CE with as actually among the few OSs M$ got right the first time such as Windows NT4 and 2000. For one thing its a more "full blown" OS then WinMo, it just never got any drastic updates and no user based features were really added because it is now slated as more of a development platform.
I am sure there is someone out there reading this will wish for a trim like this stateside.

If there were a likely candidate for that it would be Ford since they were the first and only ones in 1994 to strike a deal with Sony that provided Minidisc dash unit in the Mustang with a top of the line at the time Mach 460 sound system.

As for me I find all of these 3rd party namebrand trims a ripoff considering one is paying more for what should be considered basically more extrovert advertising.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
