I'm guessing the one person was a law-enforcement official...
I would imagine it wouldn't move data across the 'partition' - but assuming you have a good amount of RAM you won't really need a swap partition, which are basically defunct in these high-RAM days.
@engadget: just because they say it's never worked, doesn't mean it has. And they're not exactly going to provide proof it's never worked because it's a spy satellite...I think you need to buy a bag of salt.
Yup, those photoshop skills are decidedly dodgy, as are the electrical diagrams. Patents should really only be fully granted with the inclusion of a working prototype, or at least proof-of-concept.
No, but most of us don't care :)
I don't know why I want it, but I do.
I'm sure the industry could come up with better than just visual watermarks
Just slap Ubuntu (or Xubuntu if it's really old) onto it. Will work better anyway ;)
This would go nicely in my new flat...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
