Yeah the US sucks, unlike the idyllic rest of the world where it's problem-free and the morons don't have easy access to anything at all. We're glad you don't live here too.
He got at least one thing right. Goldeneye 007 was the best FPS ever. Many have surpassed it since, but only because they were standing on the shoulders of giants.
Windows doesn't have 90% of the market because it's better, it has 90% of the market because it has 90% of the market. It's called a monopoly. I used to always use Macs because they were better, then I was FORCED to get a PC at work because they decided to "standardize" on PCs. The decision was entirely based on perceived cost savings. That ultimately led me to get a PC at home to be compatible. I suspect my story is not unique. Now that Windows has their monopoly it's difficult to use anything else because you're not compatible with 90% of the market if you do. It's a self-perpetuating dominance that has nothing to do with quality.
Those are some huge pixels!
Why couldn't Apple just come up with a better name. iPod was an interesting name because it was so off-the-wall at the time. iPhone is too obvious.
OK, who here could not figure out that 480x320 does not equal 16:9? Maybe he should have called it a wider-screen iPod.
"for later use"

Great. Kind of like scratching out your killer's name with your own blood.
Symbian and Smartphone don't have touchscreens, so how will they emulate Palm OS?
They need to add a forward facing video camera you can view in another on-screen window to check the road every now and then.

No point in debating with a lawyer I guess (wink wink), but anyway:

"hit the skids like everyone else" Yuk yuk, but I will amend my statement to read: not enough downside for the lawyers

"There are (read ARE) also ways to sanction them for frivolous suits. That is the job of the courts to do to set more examples. Yet they can’t do so under the current statutory allowances." Wow is that classic lawyer doublespeak. So are you saying they can or they can't.

"Just screaming lawyers are the bad guys" I don't recall screaming, just stating my opinion (which could easily be wrong, so sue me.) In fact I didn't even say that lawyers were bad guys, but that there was no (I mean not enough) downside for them, which implies a problem with the system. In fact I think that, as a group, lawyers are no better or worse than any other people, they're just human beings.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
