I think the best was the Full Throttle commercial before the game. Watching hundreds of real/CGI vehicles rip through a neighborhood was pretty cool I thought.
This guy was clearly off-base to begin with. His life is probably a mess and this latest thing was just the final straw.
That said, I hate buying cars. The whole process, from dealing on price to getting hammered by the finance guy to add on all kinds of crap like theft protection, extended warranty, etc, etc, etc, etc is just the most agonizing experience. Even if you get a reasonable deal you can't help but feel drained by the whole experience.
David Hasselhoff, aka The Hoff, is a regular source of email trading goodness here at our office, and this video had us all rolling this morning! Thanks!!!
But hey, you gotta give The Hoff his props. I have to admit that I can't help but be impressed by a guy who can make millions of dollars doing things he absolutely sucks at!
OK obviously you guys are too young to remember the originals. Yes the screens were small and your back would kill you after a few hours of hunching over the table to actually see what you were playing. But on the other hand, you could set your coke and burger on it. For some reason that's just kind of cool to me.
Still.... I'm with #2. Let's see something with some real specs.
The problem with these devices is that Windows sucks on them. You really need a new OS written with a UI that properly uses the controls you have at hand.
Using a pen on a computer just sucks. Pens are for writing. Who wants to write on a computer? That's what paper is for!
They need to rework the hardware so it can be held like a game controller and completely re-invent the UI for that kind of control surface.
"Also, American pool cleaners suffer from the same problem! People get electrocuted in their pools all the time! It's true!"
Our pool sweep was run on water pressure which powered the wheels. The suction was created by a pump which was OUTSIDE the water.
Obviously they've created a waterproof pump. But I still wouldn't trust it. And I still wouldn't sit in a tub of old bath water. Not without a generous scoop of Chlorine anyway.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
