Is it just me, or does that thing creep out anyone else?
I am a little dissapointed with this offering, honestly. I have been a die hard Replay fan since day one, I had at one point 6 Replay 5000 series units on my home network.

I was hoping they would integrate some backwards compatibilty with the old set top boxes, allowing us to stream from PC to set top and vice versa, but it looks as if that was not in the cards. Not like it would be that difficult, it is just software, after all.

Hopefully, successive versions will integrate something similar, and if not, maybe Gerry can find a way to update his fantastic DVArchive program to add some of that functionality.

The limited tuner support is kind of a killjoy as well, some of us already have a tuner in our system, but even when the full package launches, we wont be able to use it unless it is one of the 2 supported cards.

Also, I hope they do something to try and hang on to those of us that are loyal customers, maybe by giving us a discount on the purchase of the PC Edition with a tuner or by lowering the monthly subscription when added to an existing account, much like a new set top box subscription would be.

C'Mon, Replay, you have always been great at listening to your customer base and evolving your product to do things that no other DVR company has had the balls to do, it's time to step up and prove to us once and for all that you are still the company we hope you are, and that DNNA hasn't neutered you.
I think I read somewhere taht you could flash your existing router with their firmware. If you can could you still sign up for the year service-for-access?
I would think the better idea for Oakley would be to build a pair of bluetooth headphones into them, maybe even a hidden microphone so you could use them as your headphones/headset for your existing equipment.
Actually, while poking around Logitec's online store, I saw them mentioned several times as LogitecH....hmm.

Although it seems as though they are seperate companies, as Logitec's main business seems to be external hard drives and such.
That's BS, the main culprit for my preoccupation with gas prices is the freaking price of gas. My POS 93 Blazer only gets 15 mpg, and I drive at least 60 miles per day. Right now, 20 dollars gets me through MAYBE 3 days. THATS my preoccupation with gas prices.

BTW, I am a former GM employee, thats why I have the POS
Hmmmm.....There was a press release about these cans way back in 2000, it's on Tempras website. Why did it take so long for this product to come to market!

Also, what if it has been outside all day, adn has heated up to say, oh, 80 degrees? You pop the top, wait three minutes, and....yum, it's Warm Miller Time.
Where do I sign up!!
I'm sick of the "This is OLD" or "I saw this at so and so's website 3 days ago" posts. Some of us actually have a life and are unable to scouer 4 million websites for up to the second news, that's why we come to Engadget, because they do that for us and post it in a central location for us to peruse in the 30 seconds between that idiot over in accounting spilling coffee on his keyboard and the Exchange server taking a dive because the guy who sits next to him opened an email hocking free Viagra and infecting everyone's system with Herpes Complex c:
Hmmm, just noticed something, why isn't the screen in landscape mode in pic 3?

Maybe the keyboard isn't pulled all the way out? Or is there a way to keep the display in portrait with the kayboard out (although I honestly cant think of a reason for that)?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
