foiled again! damn you, engadget comment system! That teensy bit of wit was for Mr. Bateman up there.
So, what you're really saying is it still burns when you pee. Interesting.
eh, it's $299.99 on premier. At least when I checked.

No thanks, I'll wait the extra week and pick it up at a standard consumer price.
Looks like exactly what you'd wear when you have a cup of tea in Teletubby land.

I mean, that's where she is in that picture, right?
See, I wouldn't have a problem if it were done in a subtle manner. That's never the case, though.

I remember when I loaded Fight Night 4 one night, got a patch, and was welcomed with ads for Final Destination between rounds. It was on the ring posts, the canvas, and as a damn pop up during commentary between rounds.

That was horrible.

I spotted a sign for Church's Chicken when I was playing Tekken 6's scenario mode. The problem is that these companies WANT to be seen, so they need maximum visibility. If you tell them "please make it unobtrusive, they'll cry "if nobody sees it, what's the point?"

Let's just pray they don't put ads into our notifications.

Thanks for making a good, sane post.

Sammy is an elitist idiot who thinks that because he's heard of Bemani, that he has the right to cast games to the depths of hell. It's cute.

I used to be annoyed that Activision decided to make rhythm games that are most likely inspired by the Bemani series. Then I thought of something: Konami had every opportunity to do the same thing. Did they? No. In fact, the few chances they DID get, they blew in grand fashion.

Beatmania US? Major failure. US Arcade release of IIDX Gold? Never happened. Any US cabinet of GuitarFreaks? Non-existent. Hell, they didn't even jump into pushing DDR to the American masses until it was too late and most of us who knew about it since at least 1999 were over the hype. See what I'm saying?

Konami had many chances, and they blew them all. They weren't interested in our market, and felt we weren't interested in their games. Activision comes along and says "hey, it wouldn't be so hard to digest if we just changed A, B, C, etc.", and they did so and voila!

Also, as someone else pointed out, the gameplay mechanic is much different. To trash your stupid car analogy, it's not like choosing a car with a cassette player over a cd player. It's more like...well, a shooting game that uses a controller, and one that uses a light gun. It's a similar concept, but a totally different way to play.

I'll give this game a try when I step into a Best Buy and check it out. I already like the idea that scratching is actually a necessary component, unlike IIDX. IIDX uses the scratch as another "button" you hit, and furthermore, it's a button that can be disabled via auto-scratch!

Kenny, sorry to drag your post down with all that rebuttal.
I'll personally be waiting for Air Guitar Hero: Wyld Stallyns

I'm sure it would be a most excellent adventure.
That joke worked with vista, not windows 7, sorry chap.

Besides, didn't you know that the professional Whopper has an XP compatible patties?
I don't think I'll make much use of the update, only because I signal switch on my monitor between my 360 and computer, so facebook is literally a button press away. Plus it's on my blackberry. Still, I do like the idea of being able to find who has gamertags among my friends.

I just hope it only works one way. I don't want every 13 year old I play in halo or SF4 trying to spam my facebook with requests and "u suk" messages.
The same people who find zombies at said motel, maybe?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
