Ouch! Double ouch! Carlos should have spent the $2 billion on Apple stock instead. In 1998 it was about $7.

Let's do the math: Theoretically, If he would have spent $1 billion to buy 143 million shares (if this were possible, which means that he could have probably bought Apple), it would be worth $28 billion today!
