This has already been studied somewhat at the University at Buffalo.

Unfortunately, I don't think this one got out of the first iteration of development.
Actually the Kodak only has a 35mm-111mm lens and I'm not sure of the autofocusing feature. Maybe the Lumix is worth the extra money.
Kodak has the V1073 and V1273 which do the same thing (10 or 12MP, 720p video, optical image stabilization, ...) for only $250. The only thing better about this is the 5x zoom (vs 3x on the Kodak). I think I'm going to end up buying the kodak but it would be interesting to see photo/video comparisons between the two.
I guess it's cool that Dominos is using new technologies and is trying different things, but if you're using a phone anyway, why not just talk to place an order?
+/-, The Arcade Fire, The Arctic Monkeys, stuff
There is another green screen contest for Modest Mouse just like this on MTVu. The only difference is that it is for "We've Got Everything."

Todd: Apple announced last year that the new compositor would come out in 2008. The new Motion features are very welcome; Motion is no compositor. Motion is a motion graphics program, and it's evident with its specific features. They wouldn't expect you to use Motion for a big blockbuster film with heavy 3d integration; Hence why they have/are making a separate application for you. I do agree with you concerning Apple spreading everything so thin. It appears to be affecting their core products too much (Leopard delay; Without the release of the iPhone we would likely have had the true iPod Video sooner). They are taking the route many other companies have taken and failed to flourish. They are taking way too much at a time. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years they branched off and created separate companies for computers, music, etc...
Shouldn't we be expecting a lot, not a little? If they are announcing these things early then obviously they have a lot of stuff to fill the time.

However, the 8-core macs might have been released early so there was a longer time in which Apple had a head over PCs.
To those people talking about hanging on a rope: Don't you think they would at least use a hanging 'bag' or something more safe, in which they would just get in and be lifted up. I doubt they are stupid enough to force people to climb a rope at 20k+ feet, due to the climber's lack of sufficient oxygen, etc.
I wonder how long it will be until we see these or other quad cores in MacBook Pros. I'm looking to get one around June or July.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
