Had to laugh out loud at that one, too funny!
Would love to get a 50" HDTV CRT, just would need to borrow my neighbor's fork-lift to put it in my living room. My back is still smarting from the time I tried to lift my 36" Wega (225lbs), can't imagine a 50"...sorry, CRT's are just not practical. The future for OLED's is looking bright though.

Nice Howard Hughes (Aviator) reference, I loved that part of the movie too!
I don't own an HD Camcorder, but have interest in them. But I've
heard AVCHD units are computer HOGS. Based on internet chatter you
need a quad processor just to to process a 1 hour video in less than
24hrs. But it sounds like this unit may do the trick a lot quicker
and easier. Anyone have experience with these devices? Granted, I
don't expect built-in complex editing functions like you'd have on a
PC, but do these work well?
Don't understand the hate for Batman Forever, it's actually my 2nd fav behind Dark Knight. Kilmer made a good Batman, and looked the part more than others (before Bale). Great action sets, coolest gadgets and car, awesome costumes, did a great job introducing Robin, O'Donnell was great as Robin, and Carey was perfect as the Riddler. The plot was bad, as was Two-Face, but overall the movie was better than the first and second. First one's action scenes were bad, and the second had a lame Penguin. I did like Joker and Catwoman though, they were great. Of course mad props to Dark Knight, now the best of the series.
It's out of stock, the front page add is misleading. You have to go 2 clicks in though to find out though.

Nano 4G:
Smug Screen: Bring back the old screen, this one is a smudge magnet!!! I don't know if it's because the environmental changes to it (arsenic free) or the curvature, but it definitely is much more of a magnet for smudges.

Cover Flow Accelerometer: It would be nice to have the option to turn this off or make it so you have to push the center button to activate it. Or even have the option to “leave backlight off unless buttons pressed”. The problem being, anytime you’re listening to music, jogging or have it in your pocket, and the accelerometer senses movement, the backlight comes on. This drains the battery a lot more than the 3G, which would only activate the backlight if I hit a button.

iTunes 8.0: Somewhat related since the 4g Nano requires iTunes 8.0, I was disappointed by some of the features they removed. 1) Ability to turn off iTunes Store links 2) Ability to turn off the automatic filename numbering for imported songs (I have a PC, so the current Mac hack doesn’t work).
Looks nice, although I still think the 1G is the best looking aesthetically. Too bad it picked up scratches just by breathing on it though. I put together a collage of all 4 nanos generations just to make sure nostalgia wasn't playing tricks on me, you can see them all next to each other here: http://img176.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ipodnanog14fc8.jpg
What happens if we had a "wireless phone" and we dropped it on the street or lost it, maybe we should just stick to Bell South phones. The same argument can be made for any emerging wireless technologies, but the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages over time. I lost a number of headphones due to the wire getting pulled violently from my ears. And lets not even consider all the horrible accidents that have occurred due to tethered wires...

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
