Eric is referring to EMP, and it was a by-product of the atomic bomb.

Amen to #7: Outsource that bitch and call it a day.
Its not the fifth console.
Remember gameboy, and gameboy advance? And that other thing, the one that you touch... the DS! Yeah. They also had this other thing you wore on your head, virtual boy.
Thats like 4 additional consoles.

And, that reminds me; isnt nintendo working on some kind of portable successor to the GBA?
okay, at first, i was confused. Why would microsoft want something like this. Aren't they part of the massive DRM circle jerk? Seems to me that getting rid of the very thing that makes radio free (advertisements) would not be in the interest of the broadcast stations.

But then it hit me.

What if microsoft took this patent as a "what if"?
If microsoft holds the patent for a RadioVo, theyd have the perfect tool to stop someone who was trying to build a similar device, if said device conflicted with the microsoft destiny.
No biggie? Hasselblad is only the bently of cameras.
For that price, it had better come with a bar-tending midget who knows kung fu.
Can it control the cd changer? that would be nice. Lets say i had a stack of discs, and i wanted to hear Lynard Skynard - Freebird. It shoudl know where that is. ANd it should also do that thing where it learns which songs i listen to the most and gives them more "spins" when i put it on random. Stuff like that would be supa-nice.
The one thing i hate about PDA type things is the input. If this e-reader deal can let me scribble notes on the page, post it style, then im happy. And it better do it well - i should be able to write something lightning fast and not expect to get just one choppy line. If it can recognize my handwriting, great. If it cant, no big deal - i can certainly read it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
