"The storage pooling impact is estimated as the size of the largest drive. So if your largest drive is 500GB, that will be the maximum amount of space lost from the storage pool for redundancy. With four 1TB drives you would get 3TB addressable storage, and ~2.7TB after formatting."

How is that possible? To have redundancy, you need to have a copy. Without compression, 3TB does not fit in 1TB.
A ~$1600 laptop without a DVD-R drive?
$5 says that 200Mbps is 100Mbps full duplex.
this has april fool's prank written all over it :-D
Looks like a solid design... jam a small hard drive right next to the chipset. Hope it doesn't burn up too badly.
Heh... they used "KDE" in their product name.
Someone caught this on hdbeat, and I'm surpised no one noticed it here - since when was 720p not 16:9?
I liked the Q when I first heard about it, but I have since become hooked on the crackberry, and I have a hard time imagining a better push mail solution from Microsoft. Time will tell. I am hoping that this will be a better made phone than the other Windows Mobile disasters Motorola has unleashed on us, namely the MPx 220. With the V3, Motorola got a cutting edge design pretty much right, and it actually is functional and has decent call quality. I hope this thing achieves the same effect, but I am skeptical.
If you didn't get it the first time around, that's a photoshopped 360 controller. You will never see anything looking like that.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
