I'm surprised there was no mention of the CAMERA also missing from the touch. I don't know how many times I've heard someone describe the touch as just an iPhone without the phone and when I mention to them there is also no camera they are almost always unaware of that fact.

To me the touch needs to be what many people think it is...an iPhone but without the phone. Perfect for all the people who like everything about the iPhone but are happy with or tied to their existing phone.
If we use James' interpretation of "out" as being the same as "announced" then we would also have to agree that Duke Nukem Forever has been "out" since 1997. Sorry James but if you tell someone that something will be "out" by a certain date you are implying that it is something that they can have in their hand by then. If you meant "announced" (and I don't think you did) then you should have said it.
Well if we look at what Nintendo did with the GC...

North America
* US$199.99 (November 18, 2001, Launch Price) (CAD$299.99)
* US$149.99 (May 13, 2002) (CAD$229.99)

I don't think it's hard to believe at all that they plan to drop the price of the Wii by $50 in late spring of 07.

Hey...If my kid can hook the TiVo remote up to a PC and launche a brute-force attack to crack the PIN he's earned the right to watch whatever he wants.
"6-legged spiders" makes about as much sense as saying "5-sided triangle".
A giant robot that actually walks and supports it's own weight? You can't beat that...besides...chicks dig giant robots!

"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
