So long what little privacy we have left, now every screen has 500 little cameras built into it... I'm sure no one is going to take advantage of that fact...
If you get a router that supports a free custom firmware like Tomato, it provides live, hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly logging of bandwidth utilization and such it is simply amazing. Here's the link... http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato
What the hell, there wasn't a damn new thing shown, besides a shot of the app store. I feel monumentally gipped!
Why does Kara seem to care so much about what Apple may think... and ditto on the hand!
No way. This is just hype generating talk. How can they even face investors if they can't provide enough units. The WSJ online journal article indicated analyst expect Palm to sell 100,000 by the end of the fiscal year ending in June. I know that's June, but I doubt they'd start with 10K in early June.
I've had the iZak Media Player for years. Same thing, in fact I think Iomega or Lacie actually OEMed the technology at one point. The iZak is great in that it plays ISO DVD files directly along with a host of other formats including Xvid. I use it to keep the kids happy when visiting grandparents and such, bring the handheld hard drive, mini-USB ended power supply, video cable, and remote and they have 30 movies to pick from. It can also do music and pictures, and a few other tricks that I don't use...

Dead on. I mean the full integration with subscription services like Rhapsody and Napster. Also internet radio, Pandora, etc. is simply amazing, this is the highlight of every get together we have at home. It's all people seem to talk about. I haven't run into a situation I can't find a tune someone wants, it's like magic. And the fact that it can deal with 10 zones in my home perfectly is simply amazing. It's one of the few technologies that really does just work.

I really want an iPod Touch/iPhone native app, but that may be tough since it may be seen to cannibalize their controller sales...
I doubt Apple will lose money on the iPhone as AT&T and other providers will have to pay some quantity back to Apple. Even if this isn't the case and Apple does lose money on the phone, they have now introduced the AppStore. They keep 30% of the revenue of each sale which is a huge revenue stream.

It's the sell the blade not the razor model...
That's what T-Mobile's Hotspot@Home does on UMA enabled phones. When you get into an IPSec encrypted open network (or one you have authorized in your phone), it seamlessly switches to the VoIP over WiFi, when you get out of range of WiFi it goes back to the regular network... Works perfectly.
The unique thing about holographic storage is that a property of holograms in general is the ability to retain full information about the data that makes up the hologram even if part of it is damaged. For example, if you cut a hologram in half you still see the full image just a little blurrier. Along with error correction, this format will likely be more resiliant than other media types. But who knows whether the reader device will stay consistent and available year in the future.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
