This will give DSG some serious cred if it is a success on a sports car of this caliber.
yeah but I can still drive it in gran turismo...
also speaking to the range issue, I drive a fairly sporty car with a 10 gal tank with a 300-350 mile range. I have a short commute and unless I know gas prices are on the way up I rarely fill it more than half full, cause that gets me through a week and there is no reason to carry around more gas than I need to.
CB, cars are about 30%-40% effecient at burning gas, while power plants can be upwards of 80% effiecient. when weight and space is not an issue, a lot more complex process can be used to boost effieciency and lower emmisions. If you think a car puts out less emmisions per kW than a power plant you are dreaming.
this really isn't anything new, but man that price is really good.
how is this going against the mini? aren't they in completely different classes and cater to completely different people?
I was talking to this old dude in a nursing home a month ago he was talking about a "willys" He had one back in the 60's and he said one time this women steped out in front of it and he slammed on his brakes and the tie rods completly collapsed and one of the wheels broke completely off, just from hitting the brakes.
^ haha
yeah except for maybe international calls isn't this kind of useless, since if you have dial up, you have phone service?
im no expert, but 500 lbs sounds a little high for just replacing the sheet metal with carbon fiber.
this is great because this proves that performance oriented cars like this can sell in the U.S. this just the sort of thing that will start to convince brands to bring over their sportier cars that typically bypass the US
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
