'Although the plant will for now produce just enough electricity to power a coffee-maker...'
http://sweetness-light.com/archive/norway-to-make-electricity-from-salt
Okay many pictures, but they still do not answer some basic questions?
What is the ugly tab for on its left side?
Does the ball run on real bearings or just rounded pins?
And Kensington, why the h... is there no BT option?

I'll stick with with my MacAlly QBall for now.
By the way I disagree with the MS Trackball Explorer fans. It feels like a brick with misplaced buttons/ball compared to the QBall.
Sorry if it makes no sense this was caused by 1Password auto-login/autofill.
Looks great, but if Kensington wants me to change from my Macally QBall they'll need to come up with a Bluetooth version.
Thanks for the tips, give it a try (Mac solutions). Also found Freeway Pro but can't get it to work in Leopard so far.
Just bought a refurbished MacBook Pro 15". Maybe Apple gets the message!

Like:
the new uni-body design and ease of access
new touchpad
optical drive location and ports on left side
screen can be opened flatter
LED screen

Don't like:
MIRROR SCREEN (absolute turnoff for me and I won't be convinced otherwise)
black keyboard, flat buttons
missing FW400
no e-SATA, HDMI port (also the fact that the new LED display can not be used with older models because of the new mini-display port decision.

Appears the designers at Nissan have been watching one too many Thomas the Tank Engine movies.
e-SATA + HDMI ports, 10" model, MacBook-like keyboard and hardrive-bay and thick enough to accommodate 500GB drives. Otherwise keep design.
Thin my ass — sacrificing connectivity/ports/storage for a pseudo slim case that many no doubt will manage to bend out of shape or overheat because you just can't put efficient fans (if any) in such a case.

And who - beside Steve - will slide this into a paper envelope to require this ugly edge design?

No thanks, I have no use for this one!

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
