I just bought a $128 Magnavox player this week from Wal-mart that had 24fps support. It flew off the shelves so fast that I had to track one down 30 miles away the day after it was advertised and 2 days later it disappeared from the website.
The head developer of Project Natal said that Natal referred to a "rebirth" of the XBOX 360 and video games.
haha

according to the patent office website. Monster cable is also suing the Red Sox over the Green Monster. I think that the Green Monster has been around a little longer than the 30 years that Monster cable has been in business
The reason that Europe didn't get it is because it is not unified under the same laws and regulations despite the efforts of some in the European Union. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on European affairs, but take a look at this older Engadget article about iTunes facing the same hurdles as Sony would face if they were to try to bring about a Europe-wide video download service.

installed it overnight and everything went smoothly until I plugged it into my car. I have a USA-Spec Ipod adaptor for my Volvo and it worked great with previous software on my touch and even better on a 5G Ipod. Now it takes forever to sync to the car and I cant control anything. It plays songs at random, cannot advance to the next song, change playlist, or even pause when I turn off the car or radio like it used to, resulting in it killing the battery when the car is off. Version 2.1 cannot come soon enough!
FSN is acting like they are on the cutting edge of technology with a whopping 14 road games in High Definition. Engadget should have left out the word "record" because that number is nothing to be proud of. NESN has been broadcasting every single Red Sox game that they cover in HD for several seasons already including the recent series against the A's in Japan. FSN Arizona should be embarrassed.
The laws in the US are dirrerent than what it appears to be in Europe. In the US, the copyright is only infringed if it is performed publicly outside of a private residence and is using more than 4 speakers or is being performed in a space larger than a certain square footage depending if the business is considered a bar or restaraunt or other. Your neighbor cannot be sued for copyright infringement unless he is charging for people to come in and watch or he is having the entire town over for an enormous viewing.
Made it with just hours left to go. Hope it all fits in my dorm
Ive never heard of an mpx
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
