The Light and How to Swing It: Gearing your Retadin for Karazhan part II {WOW Insider}

Jul 21st 2008 6:29PM You forgot a fairly easy to obtain headpiece that will last beyond Kara, the Engineering Retadin's mainstay, the Furious Gizmatic Goggles ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32461 ) easy to make and perhaps as good as tier 5 gear.

WoW Moviewatch: Unstunted, Volume II {WOW Insider}

Jun 29th 2008 1:31PM I LOLed hard.

New TCG wallpaper featuring Human Paladin {WOW Insider}

Apr 23rd 2008 12:45PM Now if only Human males looked this good in game... Guess i'll just stick with my dwarf :P

Blizzard interviews itself on Sunwell, Wrath {WOW Insider}

Apr 17th 2008 8:10AM As a diehard Dwarf, and with a fondness for Norse inspired fantasy all I can say is WOOT!

Breakfast Topic: Spell pushback {WOW Insider}

Mar 23rd 2008 10:33AM For once, Balance Druids have an advantage. Our 4th tier talent, "Celestial Focus" gives Star Fire a 15% chance to stun, and 70% push-back resistance on Wrath. That pushback resistance is very handy in both PVP and PVE. Every caster class should have a similar talent.

As far as armor and spell damage. Maybe we can get an armor kit, or an enchant that would give some spell damage reduction something like a shield enchant to reduce damage and have a low % to actually reflect the spell would be nice, especially for Paladins.

March 12th PTR changes {WOW Insider}

Mar 12th 2008 2:17PM Welcome to World Of Arenacraft, where abilities that are very handy in PVE will receive nerfs that reduce their PVE usability dramatically because they seem OP in arenas. Moonkin who seem to be more ignored than even the Elemental Shaman are (A Moonkin revolt is in progress on the official forums and yet i have seen no coverage of it here) see the Cyclone change as yet another slap in the face of a Spec that has VERY limited CC abilities in the first place. Blizz really should consider placing Arena specific rules in place for the various spells and abilities it considers OP as such but leaving the abilities alone for PVE/BG/World PVP.

Hybrid Theory: What can I do? part 2 {WOW Insider}

Mar 9th 2008 8:53AM Prot paladins least desirable of the 3 trees eh? Before I gave up tanking, i found that as a tankadin, I almost could not play the game without distraction due to the level of requests to tank I was getting. To me, the ultimate complement on my tanking was from my healers who complained that healing me was boring and to go pull more next time (those were on 4-5 pulls as it was.).

In a column devoted to concepts of "Hybrid Theory" we should expect the author to be able to think outside the box a bit. Perhaps he needs to go roll a tankadin from the ground up and experience the joys of nigh un-killability.

Pimp My Profile: Pre-Heroic Protection Paladin {WOW Insider}

Feb 26th 2008 10:19AM Some of us have lousy luck with dungeon drops (I'm looking at you Bladefist) and these are some options that do not rely on luck to obtain.

Trinket:
Dabiri's Enigma from a quest in Netherstorm
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30300

Shields:
Ogri'a Aegis http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32652 Easy to get once you have the Dailies unlocked, and a good standbuy till you get the Crest of the Shatar. Gives the option of HUGE stam if socketed with Solid Stars of Elune.

Helm:
Tankatronic Goggles http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32473 A lot of serious Tankadins are engineers for this reason alone. The only rare mat needed is 1 primal nether, and even the Non-heroic final bosses in outlands instances can drop one (got mine from Normal Steamvaults).

Shoulders.
Warchief's Mantle, Old Hillsbrad Quest reward. While not as much armor as the Spaulder's of the Righteous, this is a viable option for a tankadin already at 490 defence but looking for more pure avoidance.

Don't underestimate the Isle of Quel'Danas {WOW Insider}

Feb 17th 2008 2:19PM So having a tankadin means i can only go AFK for 4 minutes instead of 5?

Breakfast Topic: Does the RNG hate you? {WOW Insider}

Feb 5th 2008 10:23AM The RNG is IMO partly responsible for the shortage of tanks. Tank gear never seems to drop for my tankadin (or gets ninjaed by arms warriors), and i have heard other tanks complain of the same. I say that blizz needs to figure out a smart loot system, where class Dependant gear does not drop if that class is not in the group.
