I would just add that they are useless and as soon as it comes up, I close it. This is the first time that I knew it was an HP ad. I thought it was for Comcast HD all this time.
Gamestop is usually where I go, only because I need to make my dollar stretch further that ever before. You can't beat $5 for xbox games. Please Joystiq, bring me into the current generation!! :)
This was from one of our installs for Dish network. The TV was the Dish tv's we had a while ago that went for $500 when we were trying to get rid of them. Basically it is a RCA HDTV 40". We had it on our home site for while along with other ones as well. One even had a dish installed in the swamp. Go figure...
two words: Racing Wheel
I work for Dish so I get free tv so no Cable card anytime soon. If you gave me the tv though I would love to do a review of the VIP622 DVR receiver when I buy it for the TV.
Verizon is going through the same thing that Echostar goes through every year. The providers want to get as much money as they can when it comes to negotiation time. Most of the hagalling price is way overpriced and they know they have the providers over a barrel. Nobody has gone crying to daddy government though. Interesting tactic. Doubt it will work though.
#19 I know but imagine your average joe doing it instead.

Of course this could turn into that Ray Bradbury story where we take 1000 volunteers from each side and the last man standing wins the war. If you are just don't rape your best friend.
I can see it now. The US army releases a game where you can shoot the enemy from home. So while you sit at home, the Sentinal guns shoot at enemies thousands of miles away. Wholesale slaughter, a game the whole family can play. :(
Teh Gey!! Why don't they build the eye toy into the PSP like the iMacs do? Color me dissapointed.
I think they miss the point. When Nintendo states that graphics are not that important they mean that other companies are only focussing on the graphics and not what the game can actually do. They are using what others have done in the past and putting a prettier bow on the package as it were. Games that look amazing but have no other value at all usually end up in the bargin bin of Wal-Mart in about a month, where as a great game that is not the best looking will last forever.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
