@Jeff Kibuule Well, all I'm hoping is for ION2 to have better interaction with the cpu to get rid of that lag in everyday performance and for battery life to be better. I'm not looking for a powerhouse here, form factor is definitely my main concern. I should have expressed my disappointment a little better. Gomen m(_ _)m
Wow, really disappointing results. I'm glad I didn't wait for an ION netbook. I can now skip a generation and get a better product hopefuly when ION2 comes out.
I'm been more naughty than nice.
There was a total outage (voice and data) in baltimore yesterday. I can't wait for a verzion iPhone.
InvisibleSHIELD is done already. Their quality has been going down and people are noticing. It comes unglued within a couple months now. I got so tired of that happening, I just sent back all their products and told them to keep them.
Doesn't work on VMWare Fusion 2. You can't even open it. Double clicking just gives you an error message saying something about it not mounting.
Dudes, this news is so old. The patch was up and working within hours of 10.6.2 going live.
The most needed change in netbooks is the gpu. I'm running OS X 10.6.1 on a Dell mini 10v and Flash barely plays at an acceptable frame rate. They need to add the nVidia 9400m or some other OS X compatible gpu to all netbooks. The second change I'd like but I'm not in rush to have is a higher resolution screen. 1024x600 is not good enough. There are windows that won't display fully on a screen that small. 1280x800 is perfect for a 10" screen. 3rd and not really that important is a tie between a faster cpu or a mini displayport instead of the ancient VGA port.
Does anybody actually ever wins? Just in case, MFTW.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
